I see I would get roadside assistance (have AAA now), and possibly some help if I need directions (Have Nav in the car and on my phone), and a concierge style service where they can make reservations for me, as well as let me make four 5-minute calls a year if I don't have my cell phone.
This in itself doesn't seem worth $200. Am I missing something?

Hi I retrofitted BMW Assist with Bluetooth Technology back in early 2008. Because I performed the retrofit at the dealership, my Assist was complementary.
To renew, the Assist is $199.
Concierge is separate for an additional $199 iirc.
Not worth it IMHO
If Concierge were included, it might be better.
Better to invest in Siri or something
