I just had the manifold done a week or two ago. Found a 3-stage at Hi-way Auto Parts in Texas from a low-mileage wrecked '09 Z4 3.0 SI for $350. It came with all the adjusters and hoses. Ended up returning the $90 vent hose to the dealer. Installation was just over $400 at Gunbarrel Import Motors. The tech, JW, did a great job.
There are definitely some jumpy spots in the power band, and I hope the AA tune or possibly Autologic p-tune can remedy/improve this.
BMW should have included the 3-stage manifold from the factory. The stock power output of the N52 in the E91 is not very pleasing at 5000+ ft altitude.
