The speculation from an M6 driver of a different airfield event, that this M6 driver hit the rev limiter and didn't realize it for a couple of seconds.

So, yes, someone misshifted on a SMG!

If he didn't misshift, looking at the data, the M6 may have been faster than the 997TT....(looking at the slope of the acceleration curve)
