That M3 is an RPM monster -- my car with exhaust still loses to it after 120 mph. The AA 335 fell behind at first and reeled him in dirty style, even with the M3's slight screw up.
Sorry for the quality, once I have my JBS2 I will post up higher quality vids of some different pulls for you all.

I have both a 06 M3 SMG and the 335i steptronic sedan. Stock vs Stock they are virtually identical in the 1/4 mile, with the M3 slightly pulling away at the top end. Average 1/4 miles for both cars are around 13.4-13.5 secs. Trap speed for the 335i 105-106. Trap for the M3 105.5-107mph. With the most ideal launch the M3 did a 13.01. But NEVER broke into the 12's. The 335i is so much easier to launch effectively.Much harder to control wheel spin on the M3. So through the 1/4 mile, if you have a modded 335i and don't have a great run, a M3 might get you on the ET. But on a roll on, my JB2 will immediately start walking away. Any tuner mod at all and the 335i is faster. There is hardly anything you can do to a stock M3 to make it much faster aside from F/I or nitrous.
If you look at the first graph below, you can see how close the cars are stock vs stock, the lines are almost on top of each other. I didn't properly label cars in the Gtech, but you can always tell the SMG graph by its jagged shift line, the 335i is fairly smooth. In just about any of these cases (except LACR), the M3 will hang with the 335i till about 40mph. This is probably a function of tire grip. The 2nd graph shows ideal runs in cold weather, at sea level. I also threw in a run from the same day at LACR in the M3. You can see how the elevation and temperature absolutely kills the performance of the M3 to the order of 7+mph. That is about 70 horsepower!. This is why I keep emphasizing THE EFFECT OF DA ON PERFORMANCE! However, being NA, the M3 suffers more at higher elevations. The last graph shows the best runs of the M3 vs JB2 vs JB2R. You can see how the 10-30hp increases correlate to MPH increases, and how those mph increases equate to tenths in ET advantages. It is very predictable. Again, Gtechs may not give your "official times", but they are invaluable in evaluating your performance mods, and car vs car runs.
