You're more likely to break the part "fixing" what is not likely broken. I would suggest bench testing the part if you're concerned. Likely these will continue working for a long, long time. Also, the parts you're replacing aren't likely to be the ones that fail. If one fails, it's not a huge deal to replace one - you just replace the whole intake and have experience there, so this part shouldn't be a big deal.
