e91 325i advice needed!

I'm currently the owner of a E87 118d and looking to make the move to an e91 touring.
So far i've only been to see a 58 plate 325i auto at a local BMW dealer. First impressions of the car were overall good, however i haven't jumped to buy the car because i wasn't too sure it was any quicker than my current 118d...And it doesn't have xenons as standard, which is something i promised myself my next car would have.
So basically what i want to know is are 325i tuneable to make them worth while because its all i can find in the way of e91 3ltr petrols?
I am considering 325,330 and 335D's because they are more common and i know they can be remapped easily, but i only really do 7 miles a day 5 days a week so it will be more of a weekend wagon.
Any feedback from owners/exowners would be great.
