Same issue. Used a 4GB FAT32 empty drive to glove box USB port. No hex file.
I used code generated based on last 7 of VIN by someone here on forum. 64GB SanDisk USB in factory formatted FAT32, taking about 20 mins for 30%!!!!
Could be fake SanDisk from Amazon though. Say 100MB/s read and I got only 17MB/s write on laptop USB 3.0 port with nothing else running. Should be at least 30MB/s write.
So many fake stuff on Amazon these days. Especially coil packs and spark plugs
