Sorry you couldn't make it to Buttonwillow. The SSTT was well represented out there. I am aware of at least 3 cars running it...one instructor (07 6MT), one "A" student (07 6MT) and one "C" student (08 6AT). Despite the 85 degree heat, all 3 cars ran flawlessly all day. No issues or concerns whatsoever.
One of the instructors driving a nice e36 M3 was joking about the SSTT equipped instructor-driven 335i and how it would just walk away from him as if he had stopped.
Please extend my compliments to the folks at Split Second engineering. It appears as if they did a great job designing and engineering this product. IMHO it is far less challenging to make a box that makes good numbers on a dyno or at the drag strip than it is to make one that adds good HP AND can withstand the rigors road course use. To me that is the difference between tuning and engineering.
