Its a call of insurance companies and if they have an accessory add or or will cover it. Mine allows for add in you just have to provide a receipt and they cover actual cash value of additional accessories.

Yeah PPF ages but if it last 5yrs or protects and avoids a need for a repaint on a good or bumper which can't be matched ifs worth it.
