99% of cars are rapidly depreciating assets, obviously at different rates.

We are in an interesting time now though, when legislation and consumer demand is pushing aggressively towards EV's. On the other hand, this makes the last released modern ICE options more desirable for the niche group very reluctant to go the EV route (enthusiasts like us on a BMW ICE sub-forum).

I would also be concerned with the tech / iDrive8. Cars in this age are almost feeling like phones in which their software only gets so many years of updates (understandably). Thus after a while it could be garbage (and there wouldn't be aftermarket options like a floating screen from a double din, etc.). This is a stark contrast to a much more analogue sports car (some might just go that route instead for a weekender and have an EV as their daily).

I do think the B58 reliability and MPG efficiency are strong selling points too. Gas will only get more expensive, people still with ICE will want something that can not only run mid 12's but also get 35mpg + on the highway.
