Driveline fluids DIY service?
Looking to do a fluid change myself on
- 6mt
- front diff
- rear diff
- transfer case
The first three look pretty straightforward , just the old fill and drain plug. Transfer case looks to be more of a pain, I don't think I'm going to remove it I might do four or five partial changes on it using a siphon.
I had a shop to the first three at 30k and I'm at 75, so about time. While I'm in there I might try the transfer case. I'm getting a weird little wobble from the left front under acceleration rarely, i don't like it, feels like the diff. It's a walk feeling.
Any tips from anyone who's done any of this, and what fluid do you all use, and how much. I think OEM is probably not what I want, I want the good stuff. Thanks in advance
