As the title emplies, am I the first one to buy a $1,600 rock? This topic has been spoke to of since as early as I can remember.
I drove to work today (I'm a BMW Client Advisor). I came out later to see a puddle of green coolant around my tire and all over my front bumper. Something wasn't right.
I got my car checked in to service and soon afterwards got a video showing a silver dollar sized rock had fallen out of my front bumper by the passenger auxiliary radiator.
A rock punctured my front radiator. It will not be covered by warranty. The bill is almost $1,600 to replace the radiator. I have 835 miles onmy M2. I drive 90% interstate to work every day. I do t tailgate or speed. I feel like this is an obvious design flaw by BMW. Who is going to fix this design flaw?
Edit: I will add the links to all the websites we discussed up here for a quick reference.
