I considered that, but did not want to cut the rubber seal and expose my car.

So I mounted it from the bottom and left it under a panel.

Just lift the battery cover/liner and you’ll see a bunch of rubber boots you can remove and cut to feed the cables. Recommend using silicone to seal it afterwards if you choose to go that route.

However, modules should be waterproof, so not a lot of gain in doing that from the inside.
