Interestingly, I was cross shopping the m240 with the miata. I had an unofficial semi-extended test drive with the Miata on a trip in Hawaii, and absolutely loved it, but... I live in the PNW and 90+% of my actual driving is highway commute or equivalent. I realized that as much as I would LOVE a Miata if I lived somewhere that my driving was even 50% fun twisties, the Miata would be the move. But for me, I realized the Miata just isn't the move in highway traffic, and that was the final kicker for m240 for me.
