Ceramic coating makes it so much easier to clean, just like ceramic coating on the paint. Less brake dust and dirt will stick to the wheels. Even with regular cleaning, the dust will build up on non coated wheels.
I coated my wheels myself when they were new, I will do it again when the coating starts to fail. For $50, it is definitely worth it every time I wash the car.
