Agree the comment is moronic. I, also don't like spending more $ on things than I need to. The other moronic comment that gets thrown around is "it's a $70k+ car why do people try to save a couple hundred bucks..." Well, maybe some of us have multiple vehicles, kids, like to travel, among many other things. Hell last year Discount Tire got over $8k from me on tires for my four vehicles. A good chunk of that was unexpected. Generally those that have money don't just throw it around unnecessarily.
