Just a WAG but maybe the car was treated to an over the air update?
I have read posts by owners reporting loss of some features or other odd behavior that appeared after a software update.
A reset of the car's electronics (the "radio") has reportedly helped.
Think this reset involved holding the radio volume control mute button down for IIRC 70 (!) seconds.
After the reset one should still get into settings and ensure comfort access is enabled and if not enable it.
