Maybe the newer dampers are getting less noisy? Unfortunately the repair orders only show the part number:
BMW part 6894638
The full part number ends in a revision number:
BMW part 6894638 A 01
BMW part 6894638 A 02
Assuming Monroe uses the following code Year/Week# the top damper was made in June 2022 and the bottom one in March 2023.
Does anyone have a picture of a more recent damper?
