I saw this video a month ago when it happened. They could have easily just handcuffed him and been done with it. I don't get the hitting him with night sticks. He certainly wasn't a threat to those police officers.
He takes a few of those shots like a man though.
The most surprising part of this video is where they show Pirates fans.. I thought they went the way of the dodo.
