This acceleration came as kind of a jerk (imagine when you downshift and floor it), and only happens under moderately heavy usage of the right foot. Since I have never had a car tuned before, I am assuming this isn't unusual. Unfortunately, after about a hundred miles, I now have the "service engine soon" light on. Since this light came on I have noticed a slightly rougher idle. Also, if the car is in 2nd gear and going ~5-10MPH and I give it lots of gas it jerks (throwing everyone forward) and feels like it's going to stall before it takes off (throwing everyone backwards again).

So my questions are:
1) Is the service engine soon light caused by the tune or is it something I need to worry about?
2) Is the choppy acceleration I'm experiencing normal?
3) Is it normal for tuned cars to be touchy in low RMPs like what I am experiencing?
4) And finally should I be taking this back to get it looked at?
Hello Sir,

Glad to hear you got our Active Autowerke Performance Tune on your E90 325i. Below I provided a basic list of questions to help diaginose the possible issue with the vehicle. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly via E-Mail or by phone and I will be more than glad to assist you. Looking forward to your prompt reply that way we can have you up and running.

1.) Has the SES Light Light Been Diagnosed if so, which codes were triggered?
2.) How many miles were driven before the SES Light was Triggered?
3.) What are the current modifications on the vehicle?
2.) What Type of Fuel was used in the vehicle?

Best Regards,
