All I can think of is that it visually slims down the body…if it was the same color as the body…it would probably look disproportioned to greenhouse

I dunno. I think it's some sort of styling thing. Look at the g80/2/3 vs the g2x cars. The 20's have no issue putting body color rocker panels and look good. The black makes the car seem like it's riding high. Kills the look for me. If I end up with a g87 I'll be painting them for sure. Or finding someone with a 230 that wants to swap. Hahaha. |
