OK, I see the discrepancy is with it not being labeled properly. I added numbers next to the bullet point so you can see what's what. What they refer to as 'front struts' are nothing more than the front V part of the strut brace.
One cool thing about this is that the aluminum brace in the pictures above actually extends all the way to the firewall and back to the other side boxing everything in.
