I've driven an IX and seen the new 2er and honestly, the screen is a non-issue for me. The graphics are more crisp and while the ID8 is different, you get used to it like all previous idrive iterations. The worst part is the elimination of some physical HVAC controls.
The new 2er is nice enough in person (saw one in AW)... I think the added width of the M2 and better front end will help it a great deal. |
My only concern about the display is glare
If BMW nails the M2's exterior design I will definitely consider getting one
I don't care for the plain 2er so hopefully the new M2 is truly wicked by comparison
