It is worded in a way that doesn't necessitate actual sales. The vehicles were revealed and multiple dealers started taking "orders". The boost in popularity and visibility is being spined as a marketing point.
Is it misleading? Yes. Can it be interpretated as not 100% false? Also yes.
I don't like it either but it is what it is.
