It's not very clear but my understanding is that the US cars already come with the upgraded brakes.
In other regions, there is a clear distinction between the standard brakes vs the upgraded brakes (included in the M pro package in other regions)
As far as choosing the red calipers, its a no-cost option in the US and the color doesn't dictate a different brake type. Again, I am not sure if its different in other countries.
