How to restore apps/settings etc after factory reset

Just a quick step by step on how to restore your apps/settings etc after a factory reset.
NOTE: you need to have Google Back up enabled and run it at least once for a backup to be available for restore.

What can be restored:
1. Apps
2. Contacts
3. Device Settings (WiFi passwords & more)
Not all settings are backed up / restored. e.g. I noticed that I had to specify settings for Google maps/assistant from scratch. Also even though apps are restored, their setttings aren't and have to be reconfigured. In any case, it saves you much valuable time.

1. You need a connection to the internet to proceed.
2. From Play store, download 'Activity Launcher' and open it.
3. Search for com.google.android.apps.pixelmigrate.migrate.compo nent.D2dWizardManager and launch it.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions and click 'Restore'.
5. You can follow the restore process from the Play store 'Manage Apps & Device' section under your profile. There you can see each app as it is being restored, by clicking on 'All apps up to date'.
