The central screen is 4k resolution so that definitely contributes to how much better it looks than ID7 screens. I haven't heard about whether it's OLED or not though. |

influencer/reviewer at the i4 unveiling claimed, in passing, that iDrive 8 had an OLED display.. Take that for what its worth..
Regardless if it's true or not, the graphics and color saturation on iD8 is really a level up from the previous iDrive iterations.
It also uses T-Mobile as its 5G telematics provider, which in my opinion is a step up in price and service from its previous default service provider, AT&T.
