If so, the M2 being a lower state of tune, could it take the manual in AWD form?

I could open up the poll to the four options of drivetrain and transmission but that a whole other debate.
There are a few limiting factors on why they won't offer MT wtih M xDrive. The ZF AT is the only transmission that has been calibrated with M xDrive and there is no indication they are going to R&D it for the MT. Because M xDrive is mated to an AT they can better control power delivery and market the hell out of it touting 0-60 times, etc. Lastly it's a carry over of the M xDrive system from the M5 which never offered a MT and also how they save cost by not having to fully develop it from the ground up for other models.
