Can speak only for myself, but here are my two cents.
When I was ordering the car back in Jan, I had a lot of back and forth if I should order 240 over 230. Ended up with 230, because I feel that the power it has is more than enough for a city (I'm in NY) and highway touring.
I had a car for 2 weeks at this point, and I'm so so happy with how it drives. Feels very light and nimble, and I feel it also because it's RWD and significantly lighter than 240.
I'm still young and def still have sparks in my heart to drive fast, but hey, usually fast driving can be done at special events and facilities (especially since you in Washington and I'm in NY and you can't do much in the city), and for this type of things, you can either have a project car or just rent something for a weekend.
Maybe I'm just trying to prove to myself that I've done the right thing, but the main point - I'm not regretting ordering 230i (with M-packages tho, including suspension and steering), it's an incredible car and I'm very happy with it!
