I have no dog in this fight, since I most-likely won't be buying a G87. Having said that, as someone who likes a moonroof; I don't like this decision form BMW.
The carbon roof should have been standard on this car IMO, with the option for a moonroof. I think since so many in the U.S. like the CF, BMW know they can make money on this. That what is seems like to me, but who knows

When the F87 first came out, there was no option for a moonroof. It wasn't a deal breaker for me, but I really didn't like that decision either. The option for a moonroof when it was offered for the LCI was $1050. Charging $2600 for a CF is because of the demand IMHO.
