There's no denying that the 240ix is hefty for being the "smallest" RWD-platform BMW. I was surprised when I read the specs the first time, since the M340/440 are only a little bit heavier.
I'm glad this AWD variant exists though, because I wouldn't want to daily-drive a RWD car in the weather we get up this way, not to mention the road quality is less than ideal for the suspension of say, an M2.
