No long road trips in my 230i (yet). But with other cars (including a 707hp Dodge Hellcat) I just select the normal drive mode.
I'm quite capable of driving the car in an economical manner and obtaining good fuel economy.
For my 230i though I think I'll use Sport mode. Not sure which flavor of sport mode. Probably not the sportiest of sport modes, but something sportier than the normal mode. Maybe. I'll have to see how Sport mode works for mile after mile. I may elect to dial it down a bit and go back to normal mode.
