I think if it was similar to the XM where the grill border was it's own individual trim separated from the front bumper it wouldn't be so bad.
Same with the square side vents flanking the left and right side.

I agree that the grill could be integrated better. But the good news is that it's a plastic piece and hopefully a better aftermarket solution will be available. I personally am hoping to find a vertical grill solution.
