WiFi can be solved with one of these. Just plug in to an Ethernet output on your router / mesh extender etc.

I wouldn’t have a camera as high as a gable end as you’ll only end up filming the top of the perps heads. In any case, neds these days all wear their hoods up so footage may be limited. You may also find that you end up filming part of a public area and then signage and, although unlikely to be enforced, GDPR will come in to play.
