Hell, they’ve been ripping manuals out of comps and regular ol’ “performance package” models for awhile now.
If they did surprise us with a manual option in a souped up M2 I’d bet it’d come via some special edition.

M 50th anniversary edition?
They would have to release it promptly though as the the anniversary is May 24, 2022. BMW intends to celebrate the anniversary for a full year, they have publicly stated such.
