I stuck my head and phone light as far under the G87 as I could (not very far) but from what I could make out - the chassis, reinforcements and suspension arms all looked very much identical to the G82. For example the control arms where aluminium like the Ms and not steel like the G42. The back box on the exhaust looked identical, hubs, brakes, calipers, etc, etc. Even the skid plate and bracing under the S58 looked same same.
Admittedly I was laying on the floor of a dealership with a phone light so I'm sure there's plenty of nuances I missed but any fears I had that the M2 featured G42 components instead of G80/82 (when I discovered the G87 uses cast wheels, for example I was a little worried) - were alleviated.
