A stiffer chassis rides and handles better because it makes the suspension work more. The downside of that is a stiffer chassis better be robust or you’ll get damage from metal fatigue which is why BMW adds all the additional bracing. I agree, you probably wouldn’t notice the CSL brace on the street but would on track where you can really push the car. BMW wouldn’t give the CSL a bigger brace if it didn’t do anything.
