Sheesh dealers are marking them up???

I ordered mine from a large dealer here in Santa Ana and was informed they wouldn't/can't go over MSRP (roughly $54k).

There's one down the street in Irvine that marks up every vehicle due to the lack of inventory and due how close they're to the more "affluent" areas.

I'm still having PTSD from when they quoted me for $939 a month for a M440i after 6k down. At that price point you begin to consider the M4… anyways, I digress.
Ya, why not? It's about time we put some heft behind the brand. If Benz and Porsche, hell, even Kia can ask for over MSRP, why can't we? After all, we are a luxury brand that has more demand than any other brand out there right now.

And yes, I just recently quoted an M440i GC which came out to $949 a month at sticker. It's the lack of rebates and low residual coupled with no discounts.

Plus M3/4 are no less than $10k anywhere you go. Leases on them are around $1400-$1500 a month so being under a grand for the 440 is a good deal in comparison.
I gotcha, I think it's just that I can be frugal, but then you get what you pay for. Plus the market has spoken and this is a trend across the board.
I literally just had a convo with a coworker who is considering a Raptor that's $20k over MSRP.

Coming from a Shelby that I got below MSRP in 2018 has me with a different mindset. I guess this literally may be the price I have to pay to break into the BMW space.
