Majority of March builds here in AU slipped to May. Mine was 26 Feb initially, slipped to May 8 and I'm #2 on the list at my dealer. I reckon it's either because of parts shortage or the recall that we had in January - I now forget what it was for.
Another reason it could be is because dealers are getting their demos in (1 Manual and 1 Auto - Feb production) so it's possible BMW gave dealers 3 cars as the initial allocation of which 2 are demos. I can support this by knowing for a fact that the person who is #1 with my dealer is getting his car in May and the demos are coming in then too, which would make up the allocation of 3 per dealer. The difference in AU is that the dealers aren't selling their demos (or atleast mine isn't).
