Def sounds plausible. Just as a reference these are the key dates for the G42.
4/30 Order placed
5/9 Scheduled for week 25 production
6/15 Production begins - VIN provided
7/5 Left the port aboard Glovis Spirit
7/21 Arrived at Baltimore port
8/3 Arrived at Patrick BMW in Chicagoland
8/6 Scheduled Pickup

This isn't bad. I put an RS3 order in back on May and no update.
I am first on the list at my dealer and have 1k down so I'm just waiting to go place my spec. I'm sure I'll get the car by April to May
