That being said, you are not technically “coding”, just flipping switches so you can’t truly break anything. You can risk bricking the ECUs if there is a power interruption when coding. That would require a tow to the dealer I believe so just ensure the battery doesn’t run out
That's pretty much what I gathered . It's more like access to the master list of settings beyond what you could access through your cars infotainment screens.

Just one more question - can you use a laptop , or does it have to be through a phone ?
