Historically M car have always been cheaper in Canada if looking at exchange rate, right now the M3 equivalent is also around 10-12k cheaper. |
Straight conversion to USD isn't necessarily accurate though. Just because the USD is strong and hence devaluing the Canadian dollar for Americans, for Canadians that CAD$76k may still feel just like USD$76k to Americans. |
You are perfectly correct.
Due to daughter going to school in Montreal I have a foot in both countries and what you just said has been my experience.
