On my car you have to go into the settings on the infotainment screen, go to Car, then I believe climate controls, then HVAC preconditioning, there you will see remote start, activate that.
After that you should be able to remote start the car by pressing the lock button 3 times, you have to hold it on the 3rd press for a few seconds.
