It's about context, both car's were judged on their merits and the G42 is simply too heavy for a car that size. They also mentioned jittery suspension and lack of head room in the rear. Believe it or not some people do contemplate the two in their shopping decisions. Especially those who won't take their real M cars to the track.
G42 while competent should have been better executed. Weight is the fundamental killer of driving engagement and when I think of a small car I expect it to weigh in significantly less than the G20. G20 is a huge car by all measures, G42 is not. |
