Thanks all for the feedback! I just installed the blendmount and wire tapped into the mirror. Works great!

I probably spent an hour trying to carefully remove the plastic trim without breaking the clips. A small, flathead screwdriver works great for this. Simply wedge the blade between the clips near the base of the mirror and twist the driver until it pops. It's a bit anxiety inducing, but apparently the plastic trim is only $20 online so it's not the end of the world if it breaks.

The wiretap is designed to feed into the wiring harness just above the mirror mount. The DIY instructions in the other threads (posted above) called for the wiring harness connector to be unplugged, but it was so tightly connected, I was not able to disconnect it. Instead, I simply used the small pins and spliced into the red and black wires without needing to disconnect the harness. The pins are small and stiff enough that you can use plenty of force to get a good connection. Just make sure the radar powers on and the connection isn't loose before you reinstall the plastic trim (It's a PITA).

PSA - The PA state troopers use K Band on the Turnpikes, which really surprised me. Normally, I ignore K band due to the large number of false signals, but you really have to really pay attention in this state. The signal strength is low, and almost comparable to MRCD.

Safe travels and happy driving!
