Greetings,

I have a 2011 335d I'd like to add a dash cam to. Rather than running the power from it to the fuse box or the cigar lighter I would like to tap in to the power in the rear view mirror assembly.

I see kits available on Amazon "for BMW" that have a 3 hole adapter; however, I looked at mine and although it has 3 wires, the plug is a 4 hole one. A cursory look did not show a 4 pin alternative.

Are there other options for purchase that would work on my vehicle or is it best to just splice in to the wiring to connect the voltage downstep adapter? If so, what are the proper +/- wires for this?
