I just got a 2011 335d, and i want to do a dpf, egr, scr, and swirl flaps delete. i heard from multiple people that it greatly improves reliability and gas mileage. i just honestly have no idea where to start and when I tried researching i just still don’t really understand. I want to find a full exhaust kit to delete dpf and scr, and i think i have a good link to buy swirl flap delete but not one for egr delete. I have a friend who owns a shop and is a master bmw tech so i can do the labor myself i just dont know what to buy and where to start. i dont want to spend too much money (3-3.5 thousand dollars) including a tune. i want to gain a good bit of power but i dont want to sacrifice reliability or too much gas mileage. i was looking at the jr stage 2 race tune but idk what to do to the car to get that tune(it’s bone stock).

Given the age of the car you should highly consider replacing the gaskets, vacuum lines, inter cooler and turbo boots.

As others have said this isn't cheap car to mod my dad has the BRR tune (like $1,300 IIRC), ATM exhaust ($825), ATM catted down pipe ($795), Intercooler, turbo boots, air filter, solid rear sub frame bushings, and other suspension work + all the other stuff I'm forgetting he has done in the last couple of years.

EDIT: Transmission tune (xHP) I don't remember the price on this but it did help the transmission shift better with the added engine power.

the car only has 90k miles does that change anything?

I would say no but it really depends on the condition of the components on the car. Other things I would add is a transmission fluid + filter change, take a close look at the harmonic balancer as these tend to fail, flush the coolant, power steering and brake fluid.

the xHP tune isn’t for x drive cars?

An alternative is the sutphin tune. I have it on my 335d w/JR stage 2.8 and it feels much better than the factory transmission tune.

^^^ Still need the XHP app and sutphin tunes are just OK. Several of us have tweaked XHP setting that outperform the sutphin tunes.

No its for all cars. And as far as costs. Exhaust isnt nec you can gut stock ( i have 1 already done you can have ) Tune and DP are the expensive parts of initial delete ( along with the kit linked and the swirlflap kit ) DP CAN be found in the NABDOG group used occasionally.

i decided to get a solo motorsports custom tune, my buddies dad manages two of the shops so i’ll get it cheap

Agree here. Started with a stock XHP stage 3 tune and that's really all I had as a baseline on the car. Decided to try Sutphins. Did not like it at all honestly. Went back to the Stage 3 XHP with some customizations and it's a world of difference.

Unless you are getting a VERY large price cut, just know not all tunes are created equal. And what are your ultimate goals for the car? Do you plan on going past just delete and tune? ( hybrids....dual pumps....BOTH )
