A simple Google search for Brorg Warner 178087 pulled up several links.
Looks like it's some diesel turbo that gets used on a John Deere engine? https://enginepartssuperstore.com/Ca...2E-RfgrFj6WWf7 https://parts.alliantpower.com/en-us...78087-bwt28343

Thank you very much for your help man. I emailed them a picture of the turbo and the serial number and they told me it is a borgwarner s300 6973. This thing is extremely laggy.

It's amazing what people will do to these cars. Nothing like throwing an old Diesel turbo off of a tractor on your 335i

Just lifted the cover and noticed a jb4 hooked up. Whats even weirder is its the old g4 not the g5 so no steering wheel controls. It also has b58 coils and not regular coils. The guy that built it did it in 2022. This thing is literally a frankenstein.
