Rocker cover gaskets do tend to go bad and could cause some oil to seep into the intake , maybe it was installed incorrectly if done recently? But I have not seen this cause any runaway conditions.
Probably more related to turbos if that's what happened. In any case if you have metal shavings in the oil filter it is usually due to crank bearings in M57. Did you get a lot of white smoke from the tail pipe when it happened? Transmission failure most probably would have triggered gearbox fault messages when it went into limp mode. Also it would have disengaged TQ clutch when you were off the pedal and TQ clutch would have probably slipped anyway at that speed. Did the RPM stay high after you took cruise control off and layed off the pedal? The turbos might themselves be OEM but the internals might not be, they reutilize the same outside and just put a new CHRA cartridge inside but this could come from germany, could come from poland, could come from china... |

Do you hava xhp or anything to check trans adaptations? This sounds like an eclutch failure, then overrev and spun a bearing. You're in for some fun, sounds like a rebuild of both engine and trans is in your immediate future.

i looked through some old screenshots from when it happened, and it threw code 4f85 So a trans failure leading to a spun rod bearing is looking likely. I just hope the motor itself isn't too far gone

New update:
Did a compression test, numbers were as follows: 1) 350 2) 330 3) 0 4) 0 5) 340 6) 330 Those zeros are very confusing as the codes were in cylinders 2&4… Any idea of where I should start?
