Doing some research, looks like because my CIC is not on the latest version C1A, things don't look good, it's current on C13 which seems to be 2 versions prior to the C1A.
Anyway Shawn, my car is a 2006 E60 M5 which came with a CCC unit.

Could you give me some guidance for this? So far I found a bunch of different information, mostly different ways to pull the 1b file and generate the FSC for the map, but none that would help my case I guess then.

I was so happy with the whole CIC retrofit installation, I was already thinking about doing the combox as well :/

Car did not originally have a CIC. You can use Donor CIC with its Donor FSC Codes and an Emulator / Activation module, or patch CIC and load a full set of custom FSC Codes, in which case you need to flash CIC to C1A.

Yeah, I was really hoping to find an "easier" solution than doing an CIC update as I don't have an ICOM and I'm not planning on investing in one, there are cheap ones out there but you can really trust these Chinese things. Not only that, also I'd need a good power supply.

So flashing is not an option. Do yourself a favor and just use an Emulator / Activation module.

Hello!
Please help in generating FSC code

VIN WBAUX31060A663674

Will there be any problems when installing navigation maps on the CIC with old software?

A663674 is on E89X-09-03-510 firmware which is very old, and does not support Map update via USB.

What can you advise in this situation? What are the ways to update the maps?

If it was mine, I would update CIC firmware and install latest 2025 via USB. Short of that, you would have to find an old DVD specific version of Map to install.

Thanks for helping.
Is the CIC update done using BMW ICOM with MOST adapter or are there other ways? Sorry, I couldn't find a description on the forums.

Yes. Then Program whole car with ISTA/P or flash CIC with WinKFP and latets SP-Daten.

I don't even have a line with the firmware version in the CIC menu, when you can update it using USB.
